Brain Health

A blend of scientific research with a thoughtful balance of community, guidance and flexibility.

Focused on accessibility, empowerment and support for those affected by traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), acquired brain injuries (ABIs), concussions and long-haul challenges.

TBIs can be very frustrating and challenging. Each TBI, experience and story is unique.

Community, support and resilience are key to healing.

As a LoveYourBrain* facilitator, I proudly integrate their science and evidence-based research into my offerings.

*LoveYourBrain Foundation (LYB) was created in 2014 when an elite athlete (training for the 2010 Olympics) sustained a very serious life-threatening TBI. He and his family experienced the positive effects of community, support and resilience during this incredibly difficult time. LYB was created to provide support to the TBI community worldwide.

Ask me for more information about LoveYourBrain Foundation and their offerings.

“Participants reported improvements in strength, balance, flexibility and attention control, and a greater sense of belonging, community connection and ability to move forward with their lives… and reported ongoing use of tools (e.g., breathing exercises) to cope with negative emotions and stress.”

This 6-week Brain Health series reflects a thoughtful balance with structured guidance and flexibility. Focused on accessibility, growth and empowerment for those affected by traumatic or acquired brain injuries and concussions.

Work with someone who has lived-experienced with four TBIs to support you in your healing journey.

Why 6 weeks?

  • ... 6-weeks often feels more manageable and less overwhelming for those adjusting to life after a TBI. Making the program accessible - even if you may be new to yoga or have limited experience with physical activity due to injury.

  • ... this training focuses on teaching key foundational practices that are accessible and beneficial for individuals with TBIs with an emphasis on learning essential techniques, including gentle movement, breath awareness, and relaxation - which often provides immediate benefits for physical and emotional well-being.

  • ... 6-weeks often builds confidence and familiarity with yoga in a supportive environment. Upon completion of this series, you may feel more empowered to continue practicing yoga independently and/or explore other forms of movement and mindfulness.

  • ... this series provides flexibility for those who may be balancing scheduling constraints or other commitments.

  • .... I support you throughout our 6-weeks together, including regular touchpoints and emails. You are encouraged to explore movement, breathing and relaxation techniques regularly during the series, and to continue practicing after completion for ongoing benefits.
